Evolution Measurement, manufacturer of EvoScann® pressure scanners, is proud to announce that its technology played a pivotal role in the University of Southampton Formula Student team’s record-breaking performance at Formula Student UK (FSUK) 2025.
Competing with their all-electric vehicle Stag 11, the team achieved a major milestone by successfully completing all core dynamic events—including Skidpad, Acceleration, and Endurance—for the first time in their EV era, finishing an impressive 10th overall in the international competition.
The crowning achievement came as the Stag 11 was awarded the Coryton Advanced Fuels Formula Student Most Efficient Car Award, scoring a flawless 100 out of 100 points—the highest possible mark for energy efficiency.

This success was made possible in part through the integration of EvoScann’s advanced pressure scanning systems into the team’s aerodynamic development workflow. By deploying EvoScann® scanners during wind tunnel and on-track testing, the students captured high-resolution, real-time pressure data across the vehicle’s surfaces. This enabled them to validate and iteratively improve their CFD simulations, ultimately refining their aerodynamic package for minimal drag and maximum efficiency—critical factors in endurance and overall energy performance.
