ProCap 3.2, the latest version of the industry leading 3D flow measurement and visualisation measurement platform developed by streamwise has been designed in collaboration with aerodynamic engineers from around the world.

The update offers innovative features for automotive development, aerospace testing, university research and commercial wind tunnel operations such as the redesigned interface, available for both the Professional and Compact editions, offering instant previews and reversible adjustments, reducing setup time and training costs for both university labs and high-throughput facilities.

The Professional edition introduces real-time surface flow mapping, projecting velocity and static pressure data directly onto 3D model geometries. This enables immediate identification of separation zones, pressure gradients and flow attachment, eliminating post-processing delays for wind tunnel teams and accelerating CFD validation in academic laboratories. Enhanced visualisation tools, including adjustable transparency for model surfaces and optimised flow line rendering, provide clearer interpretation of complex vortex structures and wake interactions. Workflow intelligence features address real-world testing needs: simplified model placement via relative coordinates, cloning of settings for repeatable configurations, and robust data management with active COM port detection and user-defined thresholds.
